    This item is great for its intended use, but there is a major typo on the packaging - it heats to 198F (as stated on the back of the package), not 198C as stated on the front.

    I wanted to use this to make freshly-baked cupcakes -- a little crazy, I know, but it should have worked. The difference is that 198 C (=390 F) is baking temperatures, while 198 F is reheating temperatures. I measured 160F maximum, but that's probably because I'm at high altitude (=lower boiling temperature) and the way my thermometer worked.

    A lot of heat with little mess - quite impressive!

    This is good for a short trip, you can leave the stove at home and go light. Also this is a must have for a Bug/ Good bag. You dont have to worry about boiling water for freeze dried food just add the water and let it cook longer. Gives you more time to enjoy camp or set things up before night fall.
