This is a smaller version than most of the ubiquitous Chinese table-top gas stove. We used it for months while our kitchen was being remodelled, and turned out some decent meals. Then almost immediately used it again when Hurricane Ike left us without power for a week. It works very well. The gas canisters are not the most reliable of things - insert them carefully to avoid leaks. Also don't be surprised if when you buy a four-pack of gas, one of the cans is empty, presumably leaked away across the Pacific. I have not used it for camping - not sure how wind-resistant it would be. But it makes a great emergency stove.

I bought this exact same model at an asian rim shopping center for $12.50 plus CA sales tax.

at the same market I bought a 4 pack of the butane fuel for $3.99 plus CA sales tax

it is amazing how something has a different importer and jacks up the price.

If you live in the santa clara county area, visit your local asian market if you really want one of these at a good price (along with fuel)
