My specific need was a quality table top LP stove for use on my patio without getting into the "Outdoor Kitchen" arena with the high pricing or over powering "Fish Cooker" style. This unit is well made, sturdy and looks good. Each of the three knobs are smooth to operate with precise control of the flame, similar to a kitchen stove. Lighting is almost instant with a push of the knob while turning on. I am perfectly satified with this purchase. I would like to see an optional metal cover for the stove that would also accomdate the side position of the LP hose.

I bought one of these through Amazon for the purpose of cooking in my breezeway when the weather is good. It's a nice stove, and seems to be very well made, but it has one annoying flaw. The gas inlet is an odd size, and in a place I don't like. The gas inlet is on the right side, just behind the right front leg. What I want is to put a swivel elbow on it so that I can take the gas hose straight back, and off the back of my table without a big section of hose across the tabletop. Unfortunately, there's a roadblock to this. The gas inlet, and the included regulator, use 5/16" flare fittings, which is an odd size. Why Camp Chef chose to use this size is beyond me, because everyone else on the planet uses 3/8" flare fittings. If it weren't for this annoying flaw I'd give the stove five stars.

A second, not quite annoying flaw, but worthy of mention, is that while the cast parts seem good quality, the sheet metal parts are really flimsy. Thicker sheet metal would be... Read more
